Alpha-sigma transition in plutonium as Mott transition in f-subsystem

Description
It is shown that under transition from alpha-phase of plutonium to sigma-phase localization of 5f-states takes place. The behaviour of both magnetic moments and canonic zone parameters points out to localized behavour of 5f-states takes place
