Structure and vibrational spectra of acetamide derivatives of manganese, iron, cobalt, and nickel iodides

Description
By the methods of X-ray diffraction analysis, vibrational spectroscopy in the medium and long-wave ranges and spectroscopy of diffusion reflection in the visible range the structure of acetamide derivatives of transition metal iodides of the composition [MA4(H2O)2]I2 (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni; A -acetamide) is investigated. Monoclinic cell parameters of cobalt complex equal: a=6.9255 (9), b=14.9828 (17), c=10.2180 (20) A, β=102.12 (1) deg, Z=4. Geometry of the nearest surrounding and the character of chemical bond in the complexes studied are determined. It is shwn that sufficient stability of compounds isolated can be explained by the presence of hydrogen bonds formed by water molecules
