Examination of radiation injuries of the skin using liquid crystal thermography

Description

In examining radiation injuries of the skin liquid crystal thermography is used for surface temperature measurements. Besides the presentation of the optical properties of the cholesterinic liquid crystals the thermographic procedure is discussed. First conclusions have been drawn with regard to radiation-induced disturbances of temperature regulation dynamics of the capillary blood flow. (author)
