CT-controlled intervention methods in the treatment of back pain caused by degenerative changes

The authors' experience is presented with CT controlled facet denervation and periradicular therapy in the treatment of back pain caused by degenerative changes of the spine. The therapeutic method is briefly described. Emphasis is put on the selection of suitable patients and their follow-up. It follows from an evaluation of the treatment that it was successful in more than 80% of the patients. The methods extend the hitherto available therapeutic potential in patients with the above problems. (author) 3 tabs., 3 figs., 3 refs
