Heat transfer and flow friction in fine porous media
Description
Fluid-flow friction factors and heat-transfer coefficients are reported for fine screens (40, 80, and 100 mesh) and for packed fine copper spheres (70 μm). The fluids used are nitrogen and helium gas and water. The observed values do not deviate greatly from the values determined by scaling previous measurements taken from much coarser structures
