Investigation of the hysteresis phenomenon at phase transition in invar FCC FeNi alloys

  • 1. Petersburg Nuclear Physics Inst., Gatchina (Russian Federation)

Description

Complete text of publication follows. The magnetic phase transition in Fe65Ni35 alloy was investigated by means of SANS and neutron depolarization methods. The temperature hysteresis of polarization of transmitted neutron beam near TC has been studied. No time relaxation-phenomena of the magnetic properties system on the transition have been observed for 14 hours. It was found that magnitude of the hysteresis depends on value of eternal magnetic field. A more appropriate explanation of the obtained data can be given by means of a balance of magnetic dipole energy and thermal energy. (author)
