Preliminary study of the (p,π+) reaction at 600 MeV

Description
Preliminary results of the (p,π+) reaction on CD2, 6Li and 7Li were obtained at T(p)=600MeV using the spectrometer SPES I at Saturne. The 7/2- state is the most strongly excited state in the 6Li(p,π+)7Li reaction. This indicates that the two-step process (inelastic scattering plus neutron transfer'' may be enhanced in comparison to the single stripping process, because of the more favorable total angular momentum transfer for the 7/2- state as compared to the lower spin states. The T=3/2 state at 11.25 MeV was not definitely identified in the 6Li(p,π)7Li reaction
Abstract (French)
On a obtenu les premiers resultats de la reaction (p,π+) sur CD2, 6Li et 7Li a T(p)=600MeV, a l'aide du spectrometre SPES I a Saturne. L'etat 7/2- est l'etat le plus fortement excite dans la reaction 6Li (p,π+)7Li. Ceci indique que le processus en deux etapes ''diffusion inelastique plus transfert de neutrons'' peut etre accentue en comparaison du processus de strippage seul, en raison d'un transfert du moment angulaire total, plus favorable pour l'etat 7/2- que pour les etats de spin faible. L'etat T=3/2 a 11,25 MeV n'a pas ete definitivement identifie dans la reaction 6Li(p,π)7LiFiles
