Lattice physics methods

Description

The lattice physics methods in use at the General Electric Company for the nuclear design of initial and reload fuel bundles are presented. The sources of nuclear data are listed and all of the basic calculations are described. The presentation emphasizes three basic areas: the determination of few group cross sections based on neutron spectrum calculations; the calculation of the flux and rod power distributions; and the evaluation of the effects of fuel exposure
