Qualitative features of the K+ as a probe of nuclear structure
Creators
Description
The advantages of the use of low energy (0 to 800 MeV/c) K+ mesons as a probe of nuclear structure are considered. Qualitative features of the K+- and K--nucleon interactions, strongly and weakly absorbed probes, the optical potential for K+-nucleus scattering, survey of typical predicted K+-nucleus cross sections, comparison with emulsion data, and the nuclear structure aspects are discussed. 28 references
