Elastic scattering and annihilation in neutrino-lepton interaction in the Weinberg model
Description
Elastic scattering of electron and muon neutrino and antineutrino on electrons νsub(e)(νsub(μ))+e-→νsub(e)(νsub(μ))+e-, anti νsub(e)(anti νsub(μ))+e-→anti νsub(e)(anti νsub(μ))+e- and annihilation of e++e-→anti νsub(e)(anti νsub(μ))+νsub(e)(νsub(μ)) in the Weinberg model are considered. The formulae for differential and total cross-sections of the above processes, and also the formulae characterizing the mean energy loss and the mean angle of scattering of neutrino and antineutrino on a stationary electron are obtained. The effect of the mixing angle upon the behaviour of cross-sections and averages is investigated. A number of relations between cross-sections and averages calculated in the Weinberg model and in the model with a W boson are derived
