Initiatives to address ''greenhouse gas'' emissions - their relation to land use planning
Description
This paper reports on a study from the UK Department of the Environment, considering the effects of climatic changes on land use planning and its systems. After an overview of the methodology and of the analytical framework of the investigation, it focuses on policies applicable to transport, which is one of the most important sectors having to respond to a possible climatic change, and has large interactions with land use. Eventually, this paper describes different energy technologies and their relevance for land-use policy. (TEC). 4 refs
