Description
The local structure of Nd-Fe-B amorphous alloys was studied by Nd L3 XAFS. The amorphous alloys were prepared by melt-spinning, mechanical grinding and mechanical alloying techniques. It was concluded that the local structures around the Nd atoms of the amorphous alloys strongly depend on the difference of fabrication technique, especially the amorphous alloy produced by mechanical alloying which has a quite unique local structure.
