Dry Refabrication Technology Development of the Nitride Fuel Using the Simulated Spent Fuel
Description
Simulated spent fuel was transformed into nitride with fission product element through a carbothermic reduction process. Nitriding rate of uranium oxide was decreased with increasing fission product content. Contents of Ba and Sr in nitride fuel were decreased after carbothermal reduction process. Nitride pellet was fabricated and thermal conductivity of nitride pellet with fission product elements was measured
