Radiative muon capture on nuclei

Description
The radiative muon capture rates of muons stopped in 16O and 40Ca, the appropriate spectra, circular polarization, and asymmetries of emitted γ-quanta are analyzed using shell-model nuclear wave functions. The calculated characteristics show considerable sensitivity to the value of induced pseudoscalar coupling constant gsub(p). Where possible the theoretical results are compared with preliminary experimental data. (author)
