Description

A one-step holographic interference method is proposed to create two-dimensional complicated photonic crystals. Only four beams are needed and their wave vector differences comprise two sets of independent reciprocal basic vectors to produce complicated triangular photonic crystals. In our computer simulations, various unitcell patterns are achieved by adjusting the polarization or initial phase of the fourth beam conveniently. These results hold potential in fabrication of abundant complicated periodic microstructures. (paper)
