Isotope shifts in lead

  • 1. Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (Spain). Dept. de Fisica Teorica
  • 2. McMaster Univ., Hamilton, Ontario (Canada). Dept. of Physics

Description

The isotopes of lead provide a unique oportunity to study the electromagnetic spin-orbit (EMSO) contribution to the effective charge density determined by elastic electron scattering. This effect can serve as a tool to determine occupations of states in these nuclei. (orig.)
