Changes in the kinetics of cell populations of tumours of different type and size after single irradiation

Description
The label index, the proliferation pool and parameters of the cell cycle of tumours of different type and size (Lewis carcinoma, sarcoma 37 and melanoma B-16) were studied after single irradiation. It is shown that after irradiation the label index and the proportion of proliferating cells considerably decreased and the intermitotic time increased. These phenomena were pronounced to a great extent in tumours of small size
