Finite Fourier transformation and its application to the solution of multigroup transport equation in X-Y geometry by the spherical harmonics method
Description
A simple case of the finite Fourier transformation method is explained for the solution of the diffusion equation, and this method is applied to solve the neutron transport equation of the second order differential form by the spherical harmonics method. It is shown in numerical examples that the present method gives higher accuracy than the usual finite difference approximation, and it can be used as the nodal method
