Improvement of the contrast of microcalcifications in mammograms digital using directional fractal filters

Description

The present work proposes a tool that enhances the existence of irregular regions of high density which can have microcalcifications, significant structures of the presence of disease. Using this tool is achieved to facilitate observation of areas of interest (ROI) so that radiologists have to invest less effort and time in the study of images. (Author)
