Shape memory behavior of an Fe-Mn-Si SMA spring
Description
The study on Fe-Mn-Si SMA (shape memory alloy) spring indicates that the temperature difference between A's-A'f (the start temperature of shape memory-the final temperature of shape memory) is up to 200 C. The recovering force rises continuously as the temperature increases, but its decrease is slow as the temperature decreases. The angularity recovery ratio of the spring wire comes up to 66% after the training treatment, and the length recovery ratio of the spring is up to 93% as well. (orig.)
