Description

A theoretical description of and some numerical tests for a new experimental method for determining the time-resolved energy spectrum of particles emitted in long duration, intense bursts are presented. This method is based on the free propagation of particles, being an extension of the time-of-flight method. It is applicable to some experimental conditions (especially in intense neutron flux measurements) for which none of the existing methods gives satisfactory results. (orig.)
