Capture and confinement of solitons in nonlinear integrable systems

Description

Some nonlinear integrable systems were found to have solutions describing solitons that come from infinity and then are captured into conditionally periodical oscillatory regimes. These solutions were obtained by the inverse scattering method. The obtained results are relevant to some problems of hydrodynamics, plasma physics, solid state physics, etc
