Semi-classical analysis of Super Yang-Mills N=2

  • 1. Sao Paulo Univ., SP (Brazil). Inst. de Fisica. Dept. de Fisica Matematica

Description

We discuss peculiarities of the N=2 supersymmetry algebra with central charge, and show tue appearance of a BPS limit for the particle masses. We explicitly calculate the central charge for the N=2 SYM theory, and present topological arguments for the existence of soliton type solutions with magnetic charge - monopoles. we demonstrate the method for explicit construction a monopole by saturating the BPS limit, and show which particle content of the monopole multiplet. Particularly, becomes clear that is not possible the realization of the Montonen-Olive conjecture for this theory. We also discuss the R symmetry of the Lagrangian, the respective symmetry breaking and determine the effective Wilson action
