Description
Three observations of ochronosis are presented. The clinical and radiological findings were typical. Ochronosis is a rare disease due to an inborn error of metabolism. During the first decades of life the only sign is usually alcaptonuria. In elderly patients ochronosis may develope. The treatment is symptomatic. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Drei eigene Beobachtungen von Ochronose werden dargestellt. Klinisch wie roentgenologisch fanden sich typische Befunde. Die Erkrankung ist eine seltene, angeborene Stoffwechselstoerung. In den ersten Lebensjahrzehnten besteht meist nur eine Alkaptonurie, mit zunehmendem Alter wird die Erkrankung immer haeufiger klinisch im Sinne der Ochronose manifest. Eine kausale Therapie ist nicht moeglich. (orig.)Additional details
