A method for evaluating in-air collision kerma based on in-phantom absorbed dose measurement (theoretical considerations)

Creators

Description

A method is proposed for evaluation of in-air collision kerma (or in-air exposure) of a photon beam by taking into account the in-phantom absorbed dose. This method has no photon energy limits. An approach for obtaining the Awall correction factor of a cavity ionization chamber placed in free space is also proposed.
