The pion structure function and scale breaking in Drell-Yan processes
Description
By use of the formalism of QCD, the structure functions of the nucleon and the pion obtained at Q2 = m2sub(psi) is extended to higher values of Q2. These structure functions are then used to obtain predictions of scale-breaking effects in Drell-Yan lepton-pair production for both nucleon-nucleon and pion-nucleon cases. A comparison with recent experimental data is also presented. (author)
