Creators
- 1. Mining Environmental Compliance Group, Department of Mines and Energy, NT (Australia)
Description
Uranium and the Northern Territory (NT) of Australia have a long historical association. Currently all phases of the uranium cycle are active throughout the NT. Despite the Fukushima disaster on the uranium market, exploration activity in NT is still prolific. In April 2013 more than 65 exploration authorisations were issued citing uranium the mineral of interest. All these activities are regulated by the NT Department of Mines and Energy.
