Description

Probabilistic methods are developed for the analysis of random impact loading conditions that arise from oblique, noncollinear, and spinning missile impacts. Models are developed for the analysis of impact orientation of rotating missiles; expected values of effective impact velocity are numerically calculated for randomly oriented missiles; and the probabilities of multiple missile cumulative damage effects are evaluated. An integrated methodology is outlined for the general treatment of random impact loading conditions
