Stopping power and energy-loss straggling of slow protons in a strongly coupled degenerate electron gas

Description
At low velocities the analytical expressions of stopping power and energy-loss straggling of slow protons in a degenerate electron gas are obtained using local-field correction dielectric theory. A comparison of our theoretical results with experimental data is made. (orig.)
