WASP-II Aplication to Brazilian electric system
Description
In the next years, the expansion of the Brazilian Electric System will occur in a two large sub-systems structure: South-Southeast and North-Northeast. The interconnection between these systems are uncertain due the long distance between them. Hence, it seems more reasonable to study separately and the South-Southeast System was chosen because it is more important from the economic point of view. Some information concerning input data used in this study was estimated, therefore a thorough review of them must be done for more conclusive results. Hydro, coal and nuclear power plants were considered as candidates for an expansion plan starting in 1987 up to 2000. (Author)

Nos proximos anos, a expansao do sistema eletrico brasileiro devera ocorrer em duas grandes estruturas de sub-sistemas: Sul-Sudeste e Norte-Nordeste. A interconeccao entre esses sistemas sao duvidosos devido a grande distancia entre eles. Parece mais razoavel estuda-los separadamente e o sistema Sul-Sudeste foi escolhido porque e mais importante do ponto de vista economico. Estimaram-se dados de entrada para este estudo, embora uma revisao deles deve ser feita. Consideraram-se usinas nucleares, hidroeletricas e a carvao como candidatas a um plano de expansao de 1987 ate 2000. (E.G.)Files
