First results on Λ production between 2 and 8 A GeV from E895
Description
The E895 experiment has recorded high statistics data using 2, 4, 6 and 8 A GeV Au beams impinging on a Au target. We report preliminary results on Λ production at 6 and 8 A GeV based on the analysis of a small fraction of the recorded data. (author)
