Ce-Ni-Al system in the region of cerium 0-0,333 atomic fracture

Description

The diagram of phase equilibria is plotted. Crystal structures of compounds formed in the region with cerium content up to 0.333 at fractures are studied. Phase equilibria in the Ce-Ni-Al system at 770, 870 and 1070 K are established. At 770 K the existence of six ternary compounds is found. They are CeNiAl4 (structural type YNiAL4); CeNi2Al5 (PrNi2Al5 structural type); CeNiAl (ZrNiAl structual type); CeNi2Al3 (superstructure to CaCu5 type); CeNi2Al7; Ce2Ni5Al5 (the structure is unknown), as well as two solid solutions, one of them on the basis of CeNi2 binary compound 0.10 at. fractures long, the other, on the basis of binary CeNi5 compound with maximum content of aluminium 0.33 at. fractures
