Description

Absolute rate constants for the reaction of NCO radicals with hydrogen (k6; T = 592--913K) and nitric oxide (k7;T = 294--538K) were measured using excimer laser photolysis-laser induced fluorescence at 416.8 nm. The following Arrhenius expressions summarize the data: k6 = 1.43 x 10-11e/sup() -9000plus-or-minus1500/R/T k7 = 1.69 x 10-11e/sup() 390plus-or-minus320/R/T cm3 molecule-1 s-1. The experimental technique and results are discussed, and the importance of these reactions to combustion chemistry is addressed
