Description
This research paper deals with the preliminary studies on synthesis and characterization of lanthanum oxide or lanthana (La2O3) nano particles by chemical combustion using urea as fuel. The fuel urea is varied for different fuel to oxidizer ratios (O/F) or Ψ. The starting material (oxidizer) is the lanthanum nitrate (La(NO3)3.6H2O) and fuel as urea. The synthesized lanthana nano particles were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) for crystal structure analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for morphological and particle size determination.
