Description

Beam commissioning of the slow beam extraction at J-PARC Main Ring was carried out in January, February and June, 2018. The user operation with the beam power of 51 kW and the spill duty factor of about 50% was achieved, and in the beam study we successfully extracted 6.8x1013 protons per pulse, which corresponds to the beam power of 62.8 kW. In this paper we discuss the details of the beam commissioning and future plans for the further improvements of the beam power and the time structure of the extracted beam. (author)
