Discrete kinetic of atoms and photons. Applications to the Milne-Chandrasekhar problem

Description
A discrete kinetic model is presented in order to describe the interaction between monochromatic photons and material particles with two internal energy levels. The collisional scheme is constructed and the kinetic equations are derived. The model is then applied to the so-called Milne-Chandrasekhar problem, at a kinetic level. Finally, numerical results are provided
