Thomson scattering data from a plasma heated by a rotating relativistic electron beam
Creators
Description
Thomson scattering data from a hydrogen plasma heated by a rotating relativistic electron beam (V approx. = 1 MV, I approx. = 100 kA, tau approx. = 50 nsec) indicate no significant transfer of energy from the beam to the bulk of the plasma electrons for the range of parameters studied (n/sub e/ approx. = 1 - 2 x 1014 cm-3). The electron temperature before and after the e-beam was 3 to 7 eV in most cases
