Description
Hypersensitization, a technique commonly used by astronomers, can also be used by biochemists to increase the sensitivity and reliability of x-ray film used for fluorography. Preexposure treatment with a safe mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen at 650C, results in a 2- to 8-fold increase in the detection capability of Kodak X-Omat AR and Kodak SB films as compared to the untreated films. 15 refs.; 5 figs
