Report on low-level radioactive wastes management. Volume 1
Creators
Description
This report describes, in a first part, the origin and the different types of radioactive wastes, the evaluation and risk assessment for human health and the actual regulation for low-level radioactive wastes storage or disposal. In a second part, a more severe regulation for radioactive waste management is proposed. In the third part, the problem of nuclear materials management (radiations sources, irradiators, electrostatic accelerators) is described. The example of Forbach accident (a radiation accident with Van de Graaff accelerator) is given
