  • 1. Institut Jozef Stefan, Ljubljana (Yugoslavia)

Description

An investigation of the natural radioactivity of thermal and mineral springs, particularly those used for medical treatment and bathing, in Slovenia (the North-Western Republic of Yugoslavia) is described. Concentrations of 222Rn, 226Ra, natural uranium and gross beta activity were measured in samples of water from 23 locations. Results are tabulated, and the concentrations are compared with those found in springs in other countries. (author)
