Thionitrosyl and bridging sulfide complexes of dicarbonyl[hydridotris(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)borato]metal (metal = molybdenum and tungsten)
Description
The hydriotris(pyrazolyl)borate, HB(Me2PZ)3-, has been investigated as an alternative to the cyclopentadienyl system with the idea that the HB(Me2PZ)3- ligand might help to inhibit the apparent oxidizing power of N3S3Cl3 and therefore allow the preparation of complexes of the type CpM(CO)3NS where Cp = eta5-C5H5- and M = Mo or W. Detailed preparation schemes and characterization procedures are described for compounds of this type. Both product yields and spectroscopic data for the products are included
