Description
The refractive index is an important physical property for study the change in the structural characteristics of polymers. Gamma radiation have been applied to polyethylene terephthalate (PET) films with 1.25 mm thickness and different degree of crystallinity. The different doses of g-radiation reveal increase both the refractive index and density up to 350 kGy. In this respect the refractive index was made to check possibility of using PET as radiation sensor for sterilization purposes
