Phase conversions and radiation hardening in irradiated chromium steels
Description
Two steels of the ferritic-martensitic class--1Kh13 steel and a chromium steel of the same type alloyed with Mo, V, and Nb and designated as 1Kh13A steel--intended to serve as LMFBR core material were tested for structural phase transformation and radiation hardening behavior under the effect of argon ion irradiation at different temperatures by x-ray diffraction. Changes in sample microhardness as well as the effects of prior annealing are discussed
