Description
On a 400 m outcrop of an amphibole bearing calcium-silicate rock, in the western part of the State Pernambuco (Brazil, a strong radiometric anomaly was found by Nuclebras (Brazilian Nuclear Company), through an airborne survey. With a SAPHYMO SRAT scintillation counter we obtained in locus values over 15,000 cps (> 6 m R.h-1). Having as an aim the radiological influence f this rock on the contiguous soil, we carried out, at first, a study of the rock, which is present in this work. (author)
