Mean square charge radius of 146Gd magic nucleus

Description
The method of resonance photoionization of atoms is used to determine isotopic shifts (IS) for gadolinium isotopes with A=146-160. The measured IS are used to calculate isotopic changes of charge radii which permitted to determine the mean square charge raduus of the magic nucleus 146Gd:(r2)1/2=4.984 Fm taking into account the known charge radii of stable Gd nuclei
