5% drop in the collective radiation dose for professionals in 2010

The figures of the dose monitoring of workers exposed to ionizing radiations professionally have been published for the year 2010. It appears that the monitored population reached 330618 people which means an increase by 3.6% while the collective radiation dose decreased by 5%. The average individual external dose stays more or less constant at 0.19 mSv. 95.8% of the monitored population received an annual dose below 1 mSv. 1644 workers (0.5% of the monitored population) received an annual dose over 6 mSv and 8 workers received an annual dose over 20 mSv. The reported case of internal contamination stays weak: 15 workers received a dose over 1 mSv. (A.C.)
