Methods for sampling measurements in the determination of impurities in radiopharmaceuticals

Description

This report summarises the information and data currently available on radiopharmaceuticals authorised to be used in Germany, including details of the nuclide, the activity of the nuclide at the reference time and possible production-related long-lived radionuclide impurities. Precise knowledge of the radionuclide inventory is necessary for proper disposal, possibly by clearance. For the analysis of radiopharmaceutical residues after nuclear medicine use, relevant analytical methods for the known radionuclide impurities are presented.

Abstract (German)

In diesem Bericht werden die zurzeit verfügbaren Informationen und Daten zu in Deutschland zugelassenen Radiopharmaka mit Angaben zu Wirknuklid, Aktivität des Wirknuklids zum Referenzzeitpunkt sowie mögliche herstellungsbedingte langlebige Radionuklidverunreinigungen zusammengestellt. Für eine fachgerechte Entsorgung, möglicherweise auch durch Freigabe, ist die genaue Kenntnis des Radionuklidinventars notwendig. Für die Analyse von Resten der Radiopharmaka nach nuklearmedizinischer Anwendung werden relevante Analysemethoden für die bisher bekannten Radionuklidverunreinigungen vorgestellt.
