Description
Sintered Pr20Fe74B4Cu2 magnets having equiaxed Pr2Fe14B grain morphologies and different starting structural anisotropies were die upset-forged. The c-axis alignments following forging were analysed by measurements of magnetic properties and observations of domain structure. It was found that the hot worked magnets exhibited c-axis alignment parallel to the premising direction which was independent of the initial anisotropy. This confirms the texturing model based on mass transfer via liquid grain boundary phase. (author)
