Neutron scattering studies at 21.6 MeV
- 1. The Studsvik Science Research Lab., S-61182, Nykoping
Description
In order to investigate the properties of the average nuclear field without Coloumb interference and disturbing effects from compound elastic scattering, differential and angle integrated elastic scattering cross sections have been measured with time-of-flight technique for 17 elements, ranging from Be to Bi, at an incident neutron energy of 21.6 MeV. The data for three of the elements, i.e. Al, Y, and Bi, have been analysed in terms of a local, spherical optical model potential
