Description

Recent advances in the study of nucleon-deuteron elastic scattering and breakup processes are reviewed. Rigorous solutions of the three-nucleon equations using meson-theoretical two-nucleon interactions are compared to experimental pd and nd data. The possibility for charge-independence and charge-symmetry breaking in the 3P nucleon-nucleon forces is discussed together with the problem of the magnitude of the 3S1-3D1 tensor force. (authors)
